Anti-bullying (Draft)

At Honiton Community College we are firmly committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. We believe that every young person has the right to learn and develop free from bullying, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind. Our aim is to ensure all students feel safe, respected, and able to express themselves without fear. Pastoral care is at the heart of all we do. We take all reports of bullying seriously and aim to respond appropriately. Our anti-bullying policy is clear, robust, and consistently applied. It can be found here:

What is bullying?

Bullying behaviour is defined as “behaviour by an individual or group, repeated over time, that intentionally hurts another individual or group either physically or emotionally” (DFE 2017).

Bullying should therefore be considered as repeated acts of harm or abuse targeted at an individual or group.
